Came straight from North Sydney to the CBD, to Arcade. Played for @inext._ tonight.
I asked the bartender what drink I should get. She asked me what kind of taste I liked. I said bitter. She said, “How about Out of Fashion?” I forgot what was in the mix lol. So you’d better check it out yourself.

Three hours before the event, I literally asked @ari_kiko for the location of the beach party because I registered my email too late on Humanitix lol.
Fast forward: I somehow ended up in North Sydney via ferry, standing on a beach. The spot wasn’t as secluded as I imagined. From a distance, I could hear the bass humming, so I knew that was my destination.
When I arrived, I said hello to Ari. Then I just stood there for a moment, taking in the view. It was actually a majestic location for a beach party. I ended up talking to people around me.
Some of the conversations went like this:
“How do you feel about Sydney nightlife?”
“Oh, your coffee order is a soy flat white?”
“I haven’t eaten all day, but I’m drunk right now.”
“Heyy, do you want a group photo?!”
“What’s the name of your magazine?”
“Oh wait, we have mutuals on IG!”
Day well spent?
I believe so.

I f****ng forgot to charge the flash yesterday. But the show must go on, right?
I first saw @binsadband back in November at the Union Hotel. One of my friends invited me and said, “I reckon your vibe… post-punk, emo, indie kinda vibes.” Tonight, I came back to see them live again because I wanted to redeem the postponed interview I should’ve done in November.
I arrived around 8pm-ish and got a warm welcome from familiar faces. I love this community. I chatted around for a bit, and someone asked if I brought my camera. Of course I did, duh. But when I realised the flash was dead, I was slightly upset, to be honest. I guess I’d have to push my camera’s capabilities to the limit.
I said hello to one of the members of Binsad and suggested we do the interview outside the venue after the show.

vol. 01 – @revolverupstairs (quick detour in Naarm)
So I just arrived today in Melbourne / Naarm. I’ve been hearing crazy stories about Revolver every time I go clubbing in Sydney / Gadigal, always from strangers. They always say I should go if I ever get the chance. This time, I came to Victorian territory, so as they say, when in Rome, act like the Romans do. But I barely know how to act like a Victorian, so I decided to play it by ear lol.
When I arrived, I tried to say hello to the DJ. I think that’s the most reasonable thing to do. I ordered a Kirin beer because it’s easy to drink. Then I talked with one of the people in the audience. My opening lines were: “Do you play as well?” “Hopefully soon.” “I’m from Sydney, I keep hearing crazy stories about this place.” “I think not all of them are true, but this is a great place.” “I actually want to believe all the stories are true lol.” We both laughed.
Then I ordered a Negroni. After I got it, I asked the bartender what’s so special about Revolver. She said, “This place has been running since the late ’90s. So many legendary DJs have played here. It’s a very cool place to hang around.”
